2009... What a Year for Leg Up Farm!

I just bought my last holiday gift, I took a deep breath and had a moment to reflect upon 2009! What an amazing year it has been for Leg Up Farm. This year more than any year in the past, I learned to appreciate the talents and generosity of so many people! Just think for a moment about the people you interact with in a day. We often take for granted how important every person is in our community and how we need each other to live our lives.

At the beginning of the year we worked on drawings, permits and approvals. I walked the property, dreaming and enjoying the beauty of this special place, envisioning what it would soon be. In august we broke ground. Site work followed, then stone, then concrete and paving, then framing, windows and shingles. Grand opening in 2010 here we come!

Thanks to ALL for giving me a wonderful year, for standing by my side when Leg Up Farm was only a possibility and for your generosity which will impact children for many years to come!

As I read with my daughter Brooke last night, we came across this beautiful quote. Enjoy!

"One hundred years from now it will not matter what kind of car I drove, what kind of house I lived in, how much I had in my bank account, or what my clothes looked like. But one hundred years from now the world may be a little better because I was important in the life of a child".
